Merinda could well be Toronto's premiere consulting detective, and Jem may just find a way to put her bachelor girlhood behind her forever—if they can stay alive long enough to do so. The girls' personal awakenings feel organic, and the narrative handles mature themes well, including abortion, family connections to Nazis, and sexual awakenings. The story flowed well and didn't feel like it was being cut shot. I truly loved the Chase/Chaser and Ivy/Ally characters and the love story between the two kept me engaged throughout the book. That's why she wanted to give this 3 stars. This volume is one of a series of cookbooks published by Oxmoor House every year starting in 1979 and continuing today. Yet many of these works do not strictly qualify as history and the story of how the Beatles' mythology continues to be told has been largely ignored.
