This western really kept me reading, and I also loved the cover which is art in itself - certainly a keeper for my collection....

The story was an excellent mixture of adventure, history, fantasy, and character study. Colton had his heart broken and had no intention of falling in love ever again. Join Chris as he traverses through hostile territory in a landscape designed to bring about his likely demise. The writing was old fashioned to say the least and definitely not to my likely. It reminded me of my growing up on the East coast in a similar neighborhood, surrounded by family, albeit an imperfect one.
