The stories are very funny. He is now a ghost, but has lost none of his old ways. The book provides insights into how rumors evolve, spread and are traded on and provides explanations as to why volatility rockets, strong price movements, herding behavior for example, occur for apparently no good reason. A commercial flight, carrying 423 passengers and 18 crew from Tokyo to San Francisco, disappears in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. If you are a fan of the 69 bottles story, then you will not be disappointed with this one. Set in Alabama in 1972 and narrated by Ben, “Waiting for Augusta” becomes a personal expression of his grieving and of his growing understanding of not only what it means to fulfill one’s own dreams, but also what it means to truly be a friend. I enjoyed seeing the characters develop and show their true selves.
