House of Coates is a dark and compelling book about people who don't manage to connect in the modern world for reasons not even they themselves seem able to articulate. Although I enjoyed reading more about "Woodshed" Wallace's backstory in the first novel, I thought this one added a little depth to his character in the present. Thanks for this edition. So much potential for a great demonic ghost story that was wasted on dull moments, mediocre acting and a stupid ending. A young Cambridge graduate student has gone missing. Really good suspense and drama. The title got my attention and once I started reading I was hooked. The authors took care, changing names and giving respect to the victims; and did their best not to sensationalize this case. Thoroughly enjoyable although the repartee between Ben and Rodney was a bit over the top this time.

I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for my testing, inspecting and reviewing it. Doesn't help that I found the sexcapades boring and repetitive.
