in addition to the pages of reading and photo's there are a number of EXCELLENT FOLD OUT MAPS at the end of the book. the characters were really developed. Although its reading level may be above what some may have been expecting, it doesn't feel like a textbook. I love the girls and their fierce loyalty and protection.
